The Aurora Compassionate Pricing Program

At Aurora, we believe in supporting patients with accessing the medical cannabis they need. We developed our Compassionate Pricing Program because we understand some patients may require additional support to afford their medication, especially in these challenging times. We have also recently introduced a new Emergency COVID-19 Discount for those financially impacted by COVID-19.

Emergency COVID-19 Discount

Our new Emergency COVID-19 Discount of 15% is for those dealing with loss of income as a result of COVID-19, extending support to patients who don’t qualify for our other financial assistance programs. This discount cannot be combined with other discount programs and is a special, temporary support measure that we will re-evaluate at the end of July. To receive this discount, we require an online screenshot of your approved CERB application or your most recent EI statement.

Compassionate Pricing Program – How to Apply?

Our Compassionate Pricing Program offers a 30% discount on all of our cannabis products, regardless of potency for those who qualify. This program provides more affordable access to medical cannabis for patients earning under $30,000 annually and patients who are on disability or similar government subsidy programs.

To qualify for our Compassionate Pricing Program, we require either:

• Proof of assistance from a federal or provincial disability program such as CPP Disability (T4A(P) Line 16), OAS, ODSP, AISH, or SAID.

OR

• Copy of your T5007 Statement of Benefits or ‘Notice of Assessment’ from Canada Revenue Agency indicating a total income of $30,000 or under for the most current Tax Year.

We understand the importance of patient confidentiality, so to protect your personal information, we only require the following information from your Notice of Assessment from the most recent taxation year to determine whether, you qualify.

• Name
• Address
• The date of your most recent tax year assessment
• The summary of line 150 – your total income

To apply, please email your documents to registration@auroramedical.com or fax your documents to 403-637-3121. We review each application on a case by case basis and will notify you via email on your approval status.

How Do You Renew Your Compassionate Pricing?

If you have recently received an email notifying you that your Compassionate Pricing is about to expire you will need to renew your member status with us to continue to qualify for our program. Once approved, you will be able to continue to order your medical cannabis through our online store at a 30% discount.

To apply for compassionate pricing renewal, just submit your most up-to-date documentation by email to registration@auroramedical.com. Please include your full name and your Client ID number in the subject of the email.

What Other Pricing Programs Do You Offer?

First Responders Discount

As a token of thanks to those keeping us safe and healthy, our First Responders Discount, provides first responders supporting our communities with 25% off their medical cannabis. Paramedics, firefighters, police, healthcare practitioners and nurses can apply by sending an email to registration@auroramedical.com. To receive this discount, you will need to provide a professional identification card.

Aurora Seniors Discount

Our Seniors Discount helps provide more affordable access to medical cannabis for our patients 65 and older who do not qualify for our Compassionate Pricing Program. Those who qualify for our Seniors Discount will receive 10% off their medical cannabis products.  To learn if you qualify, please send an email to registration@auroramedical.com or call us at 1-877-9AURORA (1-877-928-7672).
